Butterfly valve is a kind of valve that opens, closes and regulates fluid passage by reciprocating about 90 degrees of disc-type opening and closing parts.
Advantage:
(1)It is simple in structure, small in volume, light in weight and low in consumables. It is not used in large caliber valves.
(2) Quick opening and closing, low flow resistance;
(3) It can be used in medium with suspended solid particles. According to the strength of sealing surface, it can also be used in powder and granular media. It can be used for two-way opening and closing of ventilation and dust removal pipelines, and is widely used in gas pipelines and waterways of metallurgical, light industry, electric power and petrochemical systems.
Disadvantages:
(1) The range of flow regulation is not large, when the opening reaches 30%, the flow will be more than 95%.
(2) Because of the restriction of butterfly valve structure and sealing material, it is not suitable for high temperature and high pressure pipeline system. The general working temperature is below 300 C and PN40.
(3) Sealing performance is worse than ball valves and globe valves, so it is used in places where sealing requirements are not very high.
The operating torque of tri-eccentric butterfly valve is calculated based on normal temperature and clean medium. For high temperature, low temperature and non-clean medium, the operating torque of tri-eccentric butterfly valve will increase.
The opening and closing force and moment of triple eccentric butterfly valve are changed during the opening and closing process, and the maximum value is at the final closing moment or the initial opening moment. There are special requirements for the speed of opening and closing process under some special conditions.
1. Torque calculation of tri-eccentric butterfly valve is as follows:
The square of one third eccentric butterfly valve caliber * 3.14 is the area of the valve plate. Then the static pressure on the axle is obtained by multiplying the pressure (i.e. the working pressure of the triple eccentric butterfly valve). The friction coefficient is multiplied by the friction coefficient of steel (0.1 for general steel, 0.15 for rubber) and the torque of the triple eccentric butterfly valve is obtained by dividing the diameter of the axle by 1000. The unit is cattle meters, and the motor operates. The reference safety value of the device and pneumatic actuator is 1.5 times of the torque of the tri-eccentric butterfly valve.
